小熊隊自1908年後就未在世界大賽中勝出，是美國運動史上最久沒得到總冠軍的隊伍，且在1945年後一直等到這1季才再取得7戰4勝制的冠軍賽資格。
兩隊將於美國時間11月1日將移師克里夫蘭打第6戰。
